Lichen Workshop

Join Ecologist and Lichenologist Andy Acton for a day to learn all about the internationally important lichen on Scotland’s west coast.

In the morning, Andy will present some information on lichen and it’s management, with a chance to look a some samples through the microscope.

The group will then head out into Kinlochleven woodland to ‘get an eye in’ for some more distinctive lichen species with discussions on how they might have been impacted by past management including smelter pollution, and how the community might facilitate and monitor long-term recovery.

This event is free but booking is essential, contact greenhealth@kinlochleven.co.uk to book.
