We had a very interesting visit today from Rita Ribeiro, a PhD student from the University of Edinburgh who is carrying out a research project in the Kinlochleven and Lochaber area to estimate people’s risk of exposure to ticks in Scotland.

The university is looking for volunteers that spend a lot of time outdoors and that are willing to be part of a project to collect data on how often people encounter ticks. The data collected will then be used to map out areas that are a high risk for ticks and tick borne infections.
